The Foundation and its partners are working to build a field well resourced with leaders capable of creating better futures for disadvantaged children and families.
Description of Relationship with/Involvement in Leadership Development Work:
We do this work by identifying emerging leaders and improving the skills of managers who can oversee cutting-edge organizations, implement complex system reforms, and lead struggling community-based groups. Our contribution to building a field of leaders seeks to:
- Supply major systems reform and community change efforts with qualified and capable leaders knowledgable in what works to improve outcomes for children and families.
- Strengthen the leadership, organizational capacity, and financial sustainability of public and nonprofit grantees whose work is essential to the Foundation’s mission.
- Support parents and residents across communities as they learn skills and take up leadership roles in the Foundation’s major initiatives.
