How can action research contribute to leadership evaluation methodologies? In this webinar, the presenters from the Institute of International Education and the Research Center for Leadership in Action from New York University shared their experience using a participatory action research methodology based on Cooperative Inquiry, to evaluate a reproductive health leadership program which operated in five countries in Africa and Asia.
Cheryl Francisconi is based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and is the Director of the Institute of International Education’s office in sub-Saharan Africa where she provides overall guidance and management related to the development of IIE’s education and leadership programs in the region, serving as a leadership trainer as well.
Bethany Godsoe is the Executive Director of the Research Center for Leadership in Action (RCLA) at New York University’s Wagner School. Bethany has deep expertise in leadership development for organizations using Cooperative Inquiry.
Amparo Hofmann-Pinilla is the Deputy Directory of RCLA and brings over 20 years of experience with action-research, community based research, and expertise in social change leadership and leadership networks at the national and international levels. She was the principal evaluator of the IIE leadership program.
Judith Kallick Russell has worked for over 20 years in international development and peace building. She has competencies in program design, management and evaluation and skills in participatory evaluation and group facilitation. She was the co evaluator for the IIE leadership program.
