Found mysel f in leadership roles in politics (city counselor) and menatl health administrationat the state and federal levels. In my federal role I started a leadership training program that involved bringing to gether a faculty, devloping a curriculum and then training up leaders in the grant portfolio within my Branch.
Current leadership development work (Roles and/or Positions):
Starting my own consulting business in 2002 named the Center for Community Leadership I took the curriculum with me and have provided training institutes, workshops, graduate courses and talks on the subject of leadership and system change. Also, provide coaching and mentoring to a number of leaders in the human service field.
What do you hope to gain from and contribute to the learning community:
I have always felt that the best ideas come from people coming together to brainstorm and think through various issues. Given my intereest in leadership my thought was this group could be a great resource for my own professional growth in this area.

It must be remembered that there is nothing more difficult to plan, more doubtful of success, nor more dangerous to manage than the creation of a new system. For the initiator has the enmity of all who would profit by the preservation of the old institution and merely lukewarm defenders in those who would gain by the new ones." Machiavelli (1513)
