Leadership Development
- Background in leadership development (Education and/or Experience):
- I have helped start two community-level programs focused on providing leadership development: In the late 1990s, I co-founded the LA-based Action for Social Change and Youth Empowerment, a citywide network dedicated to promoting youth governance as a strategy for youth development and social change. I also am a founding member and co-chair of the Los Angeles chapter of Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy (EPIP), a network of young professionals working to support and strengthen the next generation of grantmakers in an effort to advance effective social justice philanthropy. I also have designed and implemented an advocacy capacity-building initiative for leaders in California anti-hunger network.
