Background in leadership development (Education and/or Experience):
Have coached ED's, CFO, CEO's, politicians, administrators for over 5 years. Have provided leadership development as trainer and coach for over 20 years. Taught Visionary Leadership course for JFK School of Management. Facilitated multicultural leadership seminars and retreats for over 15 years. Provided leadership development through the University of California Cooperative Extention 4-H Youth Development in Alameda County for professional and paraprofessional educators and volunteers for 13 years. Provide leadership and followership to the community through voluntary social justice work.
Current leadership development work (Roles and/or Positions):
-My philosophy as a coach and trainer is transformative leadership: helping individuals and groups shift and transcend their thinking and capacity to transform their lives and their organizations. -As a principal of Prism Coaching: Transforming Perspectives, a business group of coaches of color, working with CompassPoints Leadership Community Learning Circle on a coaching in non-profits. -Member of Buena Vista United Methodist Health and Healing Committee
What do you hope to gain from and contribute to the learning community:
-Learn and contribute to helping individuals create transformative organizational practices. Participate in community processes which helps create synergy in our learning communities, and help make it easier for us to know how to move foward the creation of more effective learning communities.
