The mission of the Gates Foundation Global Health Leadership Institute is to reduce global health inequities by accelerating the development, deployment and sustainability of health interventions that will save lives and dramatically reduce the disease burden in developing countries. There are three major components of the program: Discovery, Development, Adoption.

DISCOVER - support discoveries and inventions essential to solving major global health problems.
DEVELOP - support development and testing of specific tools and technologies.
ADOPT - help ensure that new health interventions and technologies are adopted in the developing world. Program Areas: - Infectious diseases - HIV/AIDS - TB - Reproductive health - Global health strategies - Global health technologies
