National assoc. for Health and Fitness
The National Assoc. for Health and Fitness is the network of state govornors councils and coalitons working to improve the the health of the American people by focusing on the policies, environmental and personal skills that enhance participation in regular physical activity and good nutrition habits. The mission of the association is to "Improve the health of the american people." Leadership focus is on enhancing the skills and capacities of state leaders. The association holds annual conferences for networking and sharing best practices and lessons learned, offers mentor support to members, and holds regional meetings to facilitate social capital development. It also has a national leadership awards program.
